วันก่อนนั่งชิลฯ ได้ยินเสียงเพลงแว่วมา ท่อน chorus ที่ร้องว่า "He's leavin' on that midnight train to Georgia" ทำให้ผมสะอึกลาเต้
เหมือนนั่งอยู่ในรถไฟเวลาเที่ยงคืนจริงๆ ได้อารมณ์ road music ดีจัง
เอามาทำ cover เป็น acoustic band ท่าจะเพราะ
แต่ขอเปลี่ยนแค่จาก he เป็น she หน่อยนะครับ

"Midnight Train to Georgia" เป็นเพลงในปี 1973 เขียนเพลง นี่โดย Jim Weatherly,
theme ของเพลงนี้จะบรรยายความromanticของความรักว่า?.. แฟนหนุ่มนักดนตรีของเธอ ได้ละทิ้งถิ่นฐานบ้านเกิด จากGeorgia มุ่งหน้าไปยัง เมือง Los Angeles เพื่อจะเป็น"superstar แต่มันก็เป็นไปได้ยาก จนเขารู้สึกว่าเสียเวลาเปล่า และคิดจะกลับไปยัง Georgia อีกครั้ง แล้วฉากสำคัญของเพลง ก็อยู่ที่ความ Romantic ที่คิดถึงคนรัก ของตนเอง ขณะที่กำลังจะนั่งรถไฟรอบเที่ยงคืนกลับบ้านเกิด ประมาณว่า เธอไปไหนฉันไปด้วย ขาดเธอฉันคงขาดใจ??โดยใช้คำว่า midnight train เป็นสื่อถึงการตัดสินใจอย่างเด็ดเดี่ยวแน่วแน่ ครั้งสุดท้ายว่า ฉันจะอยู่เคียงบ่าเคียงไหล่กับคนที่ฉันรัก??

เพลงนี้เคยถูกบันทึกเสียงครั้งแรกโดย Cissy Houston (คุณแม่ของ Whitney Houston) ?ในสังกัด Amos Records โดยมี Jim Weatherly คือผู้เขียนเพลงนี้เล่าว่า เดิมทีจะเป็นชื่อเพลงว่า, "Midnight Plane to Houston โดยplot เรื่องเกิดมาจากผู้เขียนได้คุยกับใครซักคนนึงเกี่ยวกับเรื่อง เที่ยวบินตอนเที่ยงคืนที่ไป Houston,ต่อมาต้องการให้เพลงนี้ดูเป็นชนบทขึ้นมาหน่อย จึงมีการแก้ เป็น "Midnight Train to Georgia.'ในversion ของ Crissy นี้ สามารถหาฟังได้ จาก CD "Midnight Train to Georgia: The Janus Years."
หลังจากนั้น Weatherly'ก็ส่งต่อเพลงนี้ให้กับ Gladys Knight and the Pipsภายใต้สังกัดใหม่ ในสังกัด Buddah Records และเพลงนี้ ส่งผลให้คณะฯได้รับรางวัล Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance By A Duo, Group Or Chorus ในปี 1974
