How's the weather there, typically beach weather I guess?
The weather at my home (Alta Loma) is pretty cold around 40F-65F recently, I'm kind of missing cold weather and snow here at Chiangmai.

Do you have Sunday off-work now?
And yes you can learn something from somebody else no matter how inferior or superior you are compare to them. There always are something that other people know that you don't.
