Well, I took this quest directly onto my face
You see, as far as I'm concerned, I am the oldest member here (at 64 years of age!)
BUT first off, what age got to do with playing guitar?
I used to be very athletically active since I was very young. I also did a lot of mountain climbing/backpacking/hiking and also biking and still regularly playing tennis. So I think I kind of know what I'm talking about
You don't need to be very physically strong in order to play guitar and enjoy it. I'm sure you did see the one-hand Thai guitar player recently on Thai TV.
And mostly 99.9% of the people who enjoy playing (or you can say trying to play guitars) know that they are not GOOD enough to get commission to do 1 original song left alone the whole album!!
So my personal answer is big fat "NO",
I'm playing my guitar just to entertain myself in my personal corner of my world (but fortunately I can share my music to anyone who cares to see/hear me at YouTube too, thanks to the current Electro high-tech). I enjoy doing that since I was young and still don't get enough of it. You can say it's one of the addiction that I don't deny
And also wanted to add that it's one of my passions that do nobody no harm in any way, shape or form. In fact I think when I sing or play I just hope that if that makes one person happy then it's more than enough for my effort and anything that I put into it
If MUSIC is your food of love then you will keep doing it, it's just one of the ways that you share your love to the others that happen to be within your range. It's entirely up to them to stop and listen and enjoy or just shrug off and go away in their normal busy ways of their lives
Love and Peace to all of you young people
