The Johnny A. Signature model electric guitar from the Gibson Custom Shop combines innovative design with vintage Gibson appointments to create a modern classic. Gibson Custom first introduced the Johnny A. Signature Model in 2003, and it?s become one of the company?s most successful and popular models. Developed in close collaboration with Johnny A., the Johnny A. Signature Model combines several innovative design aspects with many of Gibson?s traditional appointments to deliver one of the world?s most unique guitars.
The revolutionary body is completely hollow with an arched and contoured outer surface and a flat inner back, resulting in a guitar that resonates more like a flattop than an archtop. The alluring face of this exquisite instrument is amazing quilt solid AAAAA maple top. It rests atop an exclusive Gibson body style and size with back and rims carved from a single block of mahogany.

Johnny A. custom neck profile, and custom abalone fingerboard inlays combine with traditional Gibson features like abalone and multi-ply binding, gold hardware, and an ebony fretboard to create an instrument that captures the magic of Gibson's past while eagerly anticipating the future.
