RE: Open Stage for Country music ขอเชิญทุกท่านมาร่วมแจมครับ
I?d like to share this ?Long LOST friend and finally FOUND!? story with our campfire members here. It?s kind of long post to read but it?s very hard to condense 40 years into just one page!! Just hope you all enjoy my story here;

First off, I have to thank Chad90 our new ?Nimit? member who?s also Povation?s classmate when they were younger. He somehow read through my posts and learned that I was looking for one of my dear friends without any success and almost giving up for death. And I was essentially impressed and intrigued with Chad?s excellent English. So I acquired and learned that he had spend about 12 years of his younger life learning and working in USA and particularly at Sacramento, in Northern California.

Chad put his effort and his expertise to work for me without letting me know until he first found my friend old cell phone number and also his old resident location, he called that number but it?s no longer his (from here on I?ll mention my old friend by his nickname ?Tee?; that stands for young Chinese boy in Thai that we all know, his real name is Porames Vajarapana).
Chad didn?t give up until he eventually found another help from his friend. It?s only the address this time. He gave it to me, I wrote my snail mail letter to Tee right away from Calif. It took less than a week to get that letter in Tee?s hand. Tee called my sister-in-law who resides in BKK and gave his cell phone number to her to give it to me.

I called him last night and OMG we finally found each other again after 40 years of not seeing or talking to each other. All through those 40 long years he wrote me one letter and that?s it. We reminisced about an hour trying to catching up with our lost years.

I can say without any reservation that he?s one of the very few true friends that still ?ALIVE and WELL? among the others who passed on to the other dimension. We?ve met when I was about 17 or 18 years old, he was a drummer, I was a ?Wanna be? singer and guitar player. We clicked to each other right from the start. From that moment on, he was always my drummer while I was his bass player in every band that we formed up or get involved with. There was time that two of us were hired to be in the band in Nakorn Panom and we went there playing miscellaneous instruments like guitar, bass and drum and percussion of all kind. We were there almost a month as I recalled. Then on the very last night and during the way when we walked back to our provided home that we shared with the ladies we surprisingly and unexpectedly met my father who came over from BKK to take me back to continue study at TU where I was studying!! We went back to BKK on the following day! And we spent some part of our money that we?ve earned from that month on our first electric guitar for each of us. We went to ?Lang Gra Suang? and bought them together.

There are so many fond and intimate stories between him and me for all of those short 6 years of our life together during my 17 until 24 years of age before I left for USA in 1972. There was a time that we were in Silapakorn Univ. band together even if we were not studying there but our band leader friend was so he took us in! And just for the record another late beloved friend of mine Ketaran Lertpipat hung around with us and he took charge of arranging our SU band and in particular the harmornizing vocal part that we heavily played "The Letterman" at that period. And by joining SU band I've met my first "Love of my life" she just passed away in April last year at Mae Fah Luang, Chiang Rai.

Our last band together was ?Thanks?, we played at ?The Impossible Caf?? along with The Impossible and also ? Kaleidoscope?, I recalled that we almost always caught one taxi back home together 4 of us every night after work because somehow our homes are in the same route. 4 of us are Tee, Ter, I and Chai (Kalei?s drummer)

Chai was the first one who was quietly passed over to the other dimension and followed by Ter who passed over with so much fanfare as we all knew. There were times that I thought I was the only one left on this planet out of those 4 until Chad re-discovered Tee again.

Thanks again Chad, no word can express my gratitude that I have toward you my new younger friend.

And here?s to my dear true friend ?Tee?, welcome back to my life pal! Never thought I?d be able to play this for you but here I go;

[A friendship needs a little mulch of contacts every so often-just to save it from drying out completely.

I always have great pleasure being alone by myself to play, If you're playing for any other reason, it won't last.
