Inspired by Captain’s “Rocky mountain high clip”. I’d like to share this past VDO that I took while did the solo hike up to Half Dome, Yosemite in 2010.

My mission was to bring my friend’s picture up on top of HD and leave it under some rock up there so she can be there for so many years to come.

This is the tragic story of a young woman who passed away at a very young age by a freak car accident and left behind her husband and very young daughter.

I’ll leave her name out for the respectful of her privacy. I’m just going to mention her as “M”. I and my wife had a privilege to meet her few times in BKK while we took vacations and went to Povation’s home meetings. We’ve met few more times after that and grew fond of each other.

We even made plan for Povation and his family, and “M” and her family to go to Yosemite together. But as fate had it, something happened in Thailand and we had to abandon that plan for that year and said we’d make it some other time.

Before we knew it, “M” unexpectedly passed away, so her dream would never materialized.

I couldn’t make it to the top of Half Dome due to the snow that prevented Yosemite officials to stick up the steel cables that we have to use to get up (as you may see in my self-made-VDO). So I put her picture (actually it’s her husband and her) in some small rock’s craves along the cliff (that nobody would know except me), and intended to go back up there the following year to accomplish my mission.

Again, as fate had it, the Yosemite officials changed their rules and currently allow only people with permit to climb up the steel cables due to the congestion/danger at the cables (and it’s very hard to get that permit!) But I’ll keep trying to find a way up there as soon as I can and while I can stumbling up along that 2,650 meter elevation at my age.

I also have to apologize particularly about the shaking of my cheap hand-held camcorder. It's kind of tough to have a steady hand after many hours of trekking up all by myself on that majestic mountain, but as I said "It was as it was" and hope you'll enjoy this one and inspire you to go to Yosemite before you kick the bucket :-)

And here's the official VDO that whoever interested in will enjoy to watch;

[A friendship needs a little mulch of contacts every so often-just to save it from drying out completely.

I always have great pleasure being alone by myself to play, If you're playing for any other reason, it won't last.
