RE: Trainwreck amp.
I have seen and played a few Dumble and Trainwreck amps before but never owned any for the reason that I personally don't care much about status and hype. I used to study and teach myself to build guitar amps for about 8 years as a hobby and I certainly know a little about tube amps and tube sound from experience and not by the book. As for Trainwreck amps in my OWN opinion, I think they're based on the old Vox AC-30 (Class A) circuit with a refinement and it sounds to me like an AC-30 with a presence knob rolled all the way up...very very clean. The Dumble amp though well that's another story! Anyhow, last night I just talked to a good friend who owns many Dumble & Trainwreck amps and asked him if he would write something about Ken Fischer as a tribute because he knew Ken personally and said he might, by the way, he also knows Howard Dumble too. Trainwreck & Dumble amps are not new to me but I think I would be able to acquire one or two if I really wanted to .. yes, I have a good friend.

I have a story about this guy I knew (not my friend) who mortgaged his house to purchase 2 Dumble amps which one of them was an Overdrive Special with 4x10'' speakers (like 4x10'' Fender Bassman) that belonged to Bonnie Raitt and he almost lost his wife because of that, by the way. The best sounding Dumble amp I ever heard was a Dumble modified Fender Black Face Bassman head......WOW.........Still get goose bumps just thinking about it. Unbelievable....the OVERTONE sound I would call it "Angelic".....1000 times better than those we see and hear on those YouTube demonstrations.

wOOdy

PS: This time I needed to write in English because I haven't got the time and not because I pretend (ดัดจริต) to forget my Thai roots. I'll post some nice, useful, & constructive stuff for you folks in a few days.
