During my tour of the Martin factory last year the guide, a 20 year employee, responsible for marketing using Major performer names, said that there is NO DIFFERENCE for guitars in a given series, i.e. D-4x . I played quite a few and finally chose the D-40 due to about 700 savings over the 41, and great tone. I played, in the same store, setting them in a circle around me, a D40, D41, D45 and an OM (45?). I could really hear the stronger bass of the D series over the OM, but the others were very subtle. Note the J40 has similar inlays to the D, but slightly diffrerent sound.

ส่วนอันนี้เริ่มจาก HD-28 VS D-41 VS D42 แต่ที่น่าสนใจคือความเห็นเรื่อง forward shifted bracing และเรื่องเกรดของไม้ โดยนาย Jeff M ครับ

"Forward shifted bracing" does not mean "a better guitar". Just a different flavor of tone. Lots of folks prefer non-foward shifted Martin dreads. Better tone balance.

Re; "higher quality woods", as was noted earlier, Martin (and Taylor, and Gibson, and all the large builders) grade their tonewoods based on COSMETICS. Now, if they have a lot of gorgeous tone wood in the warehouse, chances are the wood on a -28 model will be pretty much the same "quality" (ie "as pretty") as the wood on the -42's. By the same token, if they don't happen to have a great supply on hand, the wood on some '42's may not look as nice as on the -28's produced when they had a nicer selection of wood in.

อันนี้ OOO-18 VS OOO-28
จาก http://theunofficialmartinguitarforum.yu...00-28.html

I own a 000-18, but have not had the pleasure to play a 000-28. I do however, also own an OM-21, so not so dissimilar other than the scale length and braces. It really comes down to the rosewood vs. mahogany debate. I find the 000-18 to have a sharper attack with a quicker decay and less overtones, as one would expect from mahogany, whereas the OM-21 has a fuller, more lush tone with lots of overtones, also a deeper bass. Again, really the classic RW v. Hog debate. Hopefully others will chime in.
Just for fun!
