I just peeked into your YT before I got in here, and again I didn't know this song but I was willing to bet that it was Jackson Browne's without look it up at the WEB.
And I'm right
Like I said I didn't know much about JB but I could hear his signature accent in his notes

Believe it or not, the only JB song that I ever sang was "Take it easy" that was recorded by "Eagles"
I know "Stay" but never attempt to do it

Let me share another story about JB, many years ago (may be 20 years ago). JB and his band hung around Thai restaurant (Chan Dara) at the street between Hollywood and Sunset. He and his band loved Thai food. And he became a regular at that restaurant where a lady friend of mine worked as the waitress and they knew each other very well by names. My lady friend didn't know much about his fame but her Thai boy friend was also a guitarist so he's so excited to meet JB in person. Both of my friends were broken up when they decided to come back and stayed at BKK after that. So it's another common sad story
