I personally agree with Mr. Fisher (above). I started to sing this song when I was about 17 years old and still loved it even more. My friend who played the organ (with Leslie) for me are no longer around, he passed away only few years back. Most of the time when I played this song (now all by myself) I thought about him with fond memories.

เพราะที่ผ่านๆมาผมเข้าใจว่าเราควรศึกษาเนื้อเพลงให้เข้าใจจะได้เล่น/ร้องเพลงนั้นๆได้อารมณ์ที่ถูกต้องหรือตามที่ผู้แต่งตั้งใจให้เป็น

ที่Mr.Fisher ให้ความเห็นอย่างนั้น อีกเหตุผลส่วนตัวของเขา ก็คงเพราะว่า เคยมีคดีความแบ่งผลประโยน์กัน ระหว่างเขา กับ ผู้ถือลิขสิทธิ์เพลง (นั่นคือ KEITH REID ซึ่งเป็นคนเขียนเนื้อและ GARY BROOKER หัวหน้าวง)

แต่ประโยคนี้ ก็ทำให้รู้สึกเช่นกันว่า...เราควรศึกษาเพลงให้พอเข้าใจบ้าง...ก็พอ เพื่อที่จะได้ง่ายขึ้นในการเล่นเพลงนั้นๆได้อารมณ์ที่ถูกต้องตามที่เรารู้สึกถึงการมีส่วนร่วมไปกับมันจริงๆ

[ยอดเยี่ยม]

ระยะหลังๆผมจะศึกษาความหมายเนื้อเพลงฝรั่งพอคร่าวๆไม่ลงลึกถึงความหมายให้ลึกซึ้งมากนัก
เพราะแม้แต่เจ้าของภาษาหรือคนแต่งบางครั้งก็ไม่รู้ด้วยซ้ำว่าหมายถึงอะไร
จึงชอบเพลงที่ทำนองรื่นหู, Intro สวยๆ, จังหวะช่วง Hook โดนใจก็พอละ

แต่ผมจะศึกษา(Google นี่แหล่ะ ข้อมูลผิดบ้างถูกบ้างก็ว่ากันไป) ถึงแรงบันดาลใจที่คนแต่งได้รับก่อนที่จะแต่งเพลงมากกว่า
บางเพลงรู้แล้วก็รู้สึกแปลก..ทึ่ง หรือมันคิดได้ไงวะ..เพลงดีๆเขามีจุดคิดแค่นี้เองหรือ
บางเพลงดังไปทั่วโลก ขายได้เป็นล้านๆแผ่น ใช้เวลาแต่งแค่ 3 นาที หรือมีคอร์ดแค่ 4 คอร์ด
นับถือความสามารถ ความคิดสร้างสรรค์และพรสวรรค์ของคนพวกนี้จริงๆ

ผมชื่นชมคนที่แต่งทำนองได้เพราะๆมากกว่าคนแต่งเนื้อร้องเก่งๆซะอีก
จะให้คะแนน 10 หากเป็นคนที่แต่งทั้งทำนองและเนื้อร้องได้เพราะในคนๆเดียวกัน
แล้วเพลงนี้คนแต่งทำนองกับเนื้อร้องเป็นคนเดียวกันหรือเปล่าครับน้อง Sarun

หากจะให้ผมเลือกร้องเพลงสากลให้ฝรั่งต่างชาติฟัง โดยไม่รู้สึกอายเรื่องร้องผิดถูกหรือสำเนียงเพี้ยนๆ
มีหลายเพลงที่ผมจะเลือกร้อง..รวมทั้งเพลงนี้ด้วย ร้องเป็นนกแก้วนกขุนทองได้สบาย

พี่หมอ Rasun ชอบฟังเพลง Classic มั๊ยครับ ถ้าชอบแล้วก็เรื่องใหญ่เลย
เพราะการที่จะฟังเพลง Classic ให้ได้อรรถรสและเข้าถึงอารมณ์ของผู้ประพันธ์เพลง Classic
ก็มีวิชา Music Appreciation ซึ่งเหมือนกับบังคับให้เราต้องเข้าใจไปกับผู้ประพันธ์เพลง Classic
ทั้งที่ต่างวาระ..ต่างสถานที่ แล้วเราจะเข้าใจได้ลึกซึ้งได้ยังไง

ทั้งที่มันก็แค่เพลง ที่ฟังเพื่อความบันเทิง ผ่อนคลายและให้ความสุขเท่านั้นเอง

ไม่ใช่เรื่องหญ่ายครับน้ายอดยาหยี ผมไม่ใช่คอเพลง classic แม้จะเคยพยายามจะเป็นอยู่พักนึงเหมือนกัน

ผมว่าอารมณ์ของเพลงไม่ได้อยู่ที่คำร้องเท่านั้น เวลาฟังเพลงจีน เพลงญี่ปุ่น เราแปลไม่ออกแต่ก็รับรู้อารมณ์ของเพลงได้ (แม้แต่เพลงฝรั่งภาษาอังกฤษ ถ้าฟังโดยไม่ดูเนื้อร้องมาก่อนก็ฟังไม่ค่อยออกเหมือนกัน) ที่จริงคนแต่งเพลงนั่นแหละที่ต้องรับผิดชอบแต่งเนื้อเพลงและทำนองให้เข้ากัน

เพิ่งได้ฟังคลิปของน้า napman เมื่อคืนเพราะเครื่องที่ทำงานมันไม่มีเสียง ดีครับ เป็นอีกตัวอย่างหนึ่งที่ผมจะหัดเล่น

ผมชื่นชมคนที่แต่งทำนองได้เพราะๆมากกว่าคนแต่งเนื้อร้องเก่งๆซะอีก

Gary Brooker ตำแหน่ง ร้องนำ-เปียโน ใส่ทำนองให้ และมีการแก้ไขเนื้อเพลงอีกเล็กน้อย

จนเมื่อไม่กี่ปี่มานี้ Matthew Fisher ซึ่งร่วมงานกับ วง Procol Harum เพียง 1 อัลบั้ม เท่านั้น.. ก็มาฟ้องต่อศาล ว่าเขาเองควรมีสิทธิในเพลงนี้ด้วย โดยอ้างว่าเขาก็มีส่วนร่วมในการคิดค้นเพลงนี้ และสุดท้าย Matthew Fisher ชนะ โดยถูกศาลสั่งให้ใช้เครดิตร่วมกัน และมีรายได้ส่วนแบ่งจากเพลงนี้ ถึง 40%
